Physical Security Support

Event Security Operatives

The growing liability of companies to their employees and to the public has inevitably resulted in the implementation of additional health and safety and security measures. In their duty to provide a safe and secure environment they can also utilise these measures to protect their company’s and client’s interests. Whilst in the comfort of their business premises, employees are able to familiarise themselves with security measures. However, once operations are moved from the “comfort zones” for instance AGM’s, conferences and exhibitions, the company by default becomes more vulnerable.

IDISS Ltd is able to provide a combination of temporary assistance in these circumstances including experienced security operatives, a mobile CCTV van and/or temporarily installed Pan, Tilt and Zoom cameras, along with pedestrian and vehicle scanning equipment for items such as ordnance and explosives. The CCTV would be utilised to manage and record events as they occur providing credible evidence for reference and, if required, available for prosecution or defence and internal or external investigations.*

Most recently the company have utilised trial bike mounted security operatives for patrolling outside events, increasing security support by offering effective rapid response and assistance.

*The legal profession have minimum CCTV image specifications acceptable as evidence by the courts.

Security Escort of Goods in Transit

Whilst insurance may cover the financial aspect of a material loss it cannot compensate for the inconvenience, time and commercial damage to both supplier and recipient.

High value goods have always been an attractive item for theft, for the obvious reasons. However, as the premises of the manufacturer become more secure with the use of physical and electronic security assistance, the most tempting arena for thieves to attack is whilst goods are in transit.

Many suppliers have realised that by ensuring safe transit of their goods not only are they showing due diligence for the safety of their employees but they are also increasing the quality of the service to their clients, to the extent that they include this in their sales presentations.

Dependant on the clients’ requirements an overt or covert security team can escort high value loads as a deterrent and/or defence against an attack and record events should an incident occur. As well as assisting the crime prevention authorities with their investigations, this can also assist in a quick settlement of an insurance claim.
